College-bound baby boomers could carry all their books with a simple book belt, not study for the SATs and spend their summer before senior year just hanging out with friends. Today, we walk across campus looking like turtles with our overstuffed backpacks, crack open that dusty SAT prep book once in a while and spend the summer before senior year at selective “enrichment” programs.  (more…)
