The Winter Formal Fashion Report

Senior class “most fashionable girl” Monique Chan comments on Poly students’ attire at Winter Formal, which is, along with the Junior Dance, one of the two semi-formal dances hosted over the course of the school year.

Winter Formal is one of those few occasions that allow us to see our math teacher in a suit, the whole language department breaking it down on the dance floor with their spouses and more importantly, our fellow peers dressed up a notch. The day of Saturday, December 6, as Poly students were excitedly primping and picking up corsages and boutonnieres for their dates, the Oakleaves staff was busily decorating for the annual Winter Formal Dance. Held at the residence of junior Mimi Bea, the yearbook staff put on an “Under the Mistletoe” themed event, complete with mini Christmas trees stringed with lights and hanging mistletoe. (more…)

GSL Dance successful, profitable

Once the sun set and the clocks chimed 8:00 pm, a whole host of characters made their way down senior Monique Chan’s driveway. This host was, of course, comprised of the over many students dressed in different disguises that were fil­ing into the annual Girl’s Service League on Friday, October 25.
