After a dominating Prep League performance in which the Panthers went undefeated, Poly won its first two CIF games.

After earning the title of third best team in Division VI, the best result in Poly’s history, the var­sity boys water polo team looks to exceed last year’s performance. Ranked first in the division at one point, Poly has finished this year’s regular season with a solid record of 19-5, earning the third seed in the upcoming playoffs. In addition, Poly dominated the Prep League for the second year in a row.

Spurred by an unfortunate conclusion to last year’s season, boys water polo seeks to once again dominate the Prep League.

A record of 10-3 is a surprise to no one who knows a thing about Poly’s boys varsity water polo. If anything, the three is the surprise. When you are ranked #1 in CIF in the preseason, when you narrowly get edged out of a shot at last year’s CIF finals, when your all-CIF, all-American, record-setting player is finally in his senior year, the season doesn’t really start until the playoffs do.
